WANTED: PEOPLE AND PERFORMANCE MANAGER

Following continued substantial global growth – and an increasing team of associates - we are looking for a Manager to augment the Senior Management Team and help shape the future direction of MFG in the UK and overseas. This is a new position and will suit someone who has initiative, commercial nous and likes to roll up their sleeves.

Contract: Full-time
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 P/A - the range is based on experience and “fit”
Location: Wiltshire or Lancaster area, UK


The Company:

The MFG Group is a UK company whose founders have developed extremely valuable Intellectual Property, and consequently, is now a leading provider of sales generation and advisory services to the luxury brand automotive sector around the world.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Performance, you will be a crucial member of the MFG management team.

The role is Lancaster based but members of the Senior Management Team are based in the South West and in Ireland and travel frequently so the role expects and can facilitate flexible working arrangements as much of the work can be completed by conference call and cloud based collaborative work when needed.

You will be the ‘go to’ person for many business-related matters in the business with a focus on People & Performance and related HR matters but we are prioritising pragmatic and commercial acumen and management skills over pure HR qualifications and experience. This will be an autonomous role that will help to shape the growth of MFG in the UK and Globally.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing the entire recruitment process – from designing job specifications to all aspects of recruitment-based marketing, CV screening and appointment

  • Planning, managing and leading recruitment assessment centres

  • Designing and managing induction/onboarding process

  • Implementing and managing individual continuous improvement plans, key KPIs and one-to-one performance reviews

  • Issuing service agreements

  • Applying HR and business knowledge showing appropriate decision-making skills

  • Advising managers on the terms and conditions of employment and sharing best practice

  • Developing HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes

  • Implementing a learning and development and travel policy

  • Providing first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers

  • Working with appropriate parties on a reward strategy

  • Managing talent and succession planning

  • Driving alignment between HR strategy and business goals

  • Continuously monitoring and reviewing HR policies and processes - implementing changes where necessary

  • General support for the Head Of Sales & Performance function including collation of action points for weekly operations meeting

Experience:

  • Working with entrepreneurs and strong brands essential

  • Automotive background interesting but not essential

  • Working with and dealing with senior personnel at all levels and via all media

  • Working in partnership and as part of a wide and diverse team

  • CIPD qualification an advantage but not essential

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office

Location:

  • MFG Office – near Chippenham, Wiltshire or Lancaster but this can be flexible and agreed as part of our recruitment process
