The MFG Group continues its rapid recruitment programme with the announcement that Robert Draper has joined the business as Acting National Sales Manager – UK.
Robert is one of several new appointments in 2018 as the UK-based automotive training and consultancy business grows its team of industry experts, having already secured and delivered new projects in Japan, China, Thailand and Italy this year.
He takes up the role with immediate effect, reporting directly to Head of Sales & Performance Pita Marroni. Robert will be directly responsible for growing MFG’s presence in their highly important home market whilst a long-term successor is appointed.
Robert began his automotive career at Stratstone BMW, rising through the ranks of Sales Executive, Business Manager and MINI Brand Manager. During this time, he won the coveted National BMW Business Manager of the Year title.
In 2004, he moved to regional management with BMW Financial Services, twice winning the Regional Manager of the Year title. In the latter part of his tenure Robert worked nationally as a Retention Manager and was instrumental in the design and implementation of the BMW/MINI Retention APP, which is still used today. In 2015, this project won the BMW Overall Initiative at the 2015 Global Sales & Marketing Awards.
Robert joins MFG Group having spent the last three years back in the BMW Dealer Network as BMW & MINI Head of Business in his hometown of Hull.
